The Life of Deacon Willie Lee Hill

Willie Lee Hill, age 69, transitioned to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 1:24 p.m.He was born to the late James Hill and late Bernice Scott Hill on March 6, 1948. He was a 1967 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School.Willie retired early from Norfolk Naval Air Station and Smithfield Foods.He was a coach for the Chuckatuck Trotters. Willie was preceded in death by his loving wife Ruby Jefferson Hill, daughters Delores Thomas, Ruby Goodman and Mary (Regina) Jefferson, sisters Lena Hill, Mildred Hill and Delma Hill, and brothers Baby Boy, Percy Hill and Emerson Hill. He leaves to cherish his memories daughters Bridget Hatton, Tashena Hatton, Valerie Perry (Melvin), sons Frederick Jefferson (Reba), Carlos Jefferson, Sukina Jefferson and Wayne Jefferson, goddaughter Chonda Hatton, godson James Hatton, granddaughters Quasia Byron, Carla Reid, Tasha Jenkins, Jacinta Mays, Estelle Christano, Crystal Washington, and Lakesha Jefferson, grandsons Buddy Terry Jefferson, Tydus Jefferson, Wayne Jefferson Jr., Monte & Jordan Flowers, Troy, Suttan and Micah Thomas, Paul Goodman III and Demtria Barndes, brothers Milton Hill, James Hill (Lora), John Hill (Valerie) and Melvin Hill, sister-in-law Claudia Hill, adopted sister Nellie Spratley, special friends Carol, Tammie, Sarah and Amos Jackson, a very devoted caregiver Sandra Clinton and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00pm on Tuesday October 10, 2017 at Shivers Funeral Chapel, Smithfield Va. Viewing will be held Monday October 9, 2017 from 4-7pm at the chapel. Interment will be in the Nansemond-Suffolk cemetery, Suffolk, Va. Professional services are entrusted to Shivers Funeral Chapel.
