Virginia Yvonne Spratley

In the late evening of April 6, 2023 the Lord reached down into his garden of life and lifted a sweet and lovely rose, our mother, sister, aunt and friend.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents James and Dorothy Lankford, brothers; James Langford and Ernest Lankford.

Virginia leaves to cherish her memory three daughters; Michelle Hollimon, Franklin, VA, Dorothy L. Robinson (Stanley), Smithfield, VA and Raymanda Vaughan, Churchland, VA, three granddaughters; Brittany Vaughan, Kahdedra Vaughan and Yasmaine Jones, one great granddaughter, Nevaeh Vaughan, two brothers; Melvin L. Langford (Loretta) Windsor, VA and Marvin Lankford (Ella) Portsmouth, VA, one sister Iris Johnson (Bruce) Zuni, Va and a host of relatives and friends.

We shall miss her, but we bow in humble submission to God’s will. Viewing and reflections will take place Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 11 am -12:30pm at Shivers Funeral Chapel. A Graveside Service will follow at 1:00pm at Chapel Grove UCC, 7366 West Blackwater Road, Windsor, VCA 23487 Please keep the Lankford-Spratley family in your prayers.
