Tonya Goodwin Brown

Tonya Marchell Brown 47, of Suffolk, Va., transitioned to be with the Lord on March 19, 2018 in her home while asleep.

She was born on March 15, 1971 to the late James Lee and Betty Jean Goodwin. She was proceeded in death by her aunts Rosa Mae Taliferro and Geraldine W. Crocker and uncles Alexander Warren and John H. Warren. She was known for her beautiful smile and wonderful personality. Tonya believed that God would never fail her.

She leaves to cherish one son, Troy Brown Jr. (T.J.), two brothers, Terry Goodwin (Melissa), and James Ronald Goodwin. A host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00pm Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Viewing will take place Friday, March 23, 2018 from 4-7pm at the chapel. Interment will be in the Christian Home Baptist Church cemetery Windsor, Va. Professional services are entrusted to Shivers Funeral Chapel.
