Theresa Holloway Jordan

Theresa was born in Isle of Wight County, VA on April 4, 1957 to the late Nollie E. Holloway and Ida F. Holloway. She departed this life Monday afternoon October 21, 2019 at Riverside Regional Medical Center, Newport News, VA. In Theresa's younger days while in Smithfield Middle School, she met her closest and dearest friend, Carrie Lee Robinson, they were like two peas in a pot or should I say "like two laughing hyenas" always laughing about something and always enjoyed each other company. Carrie Lee remained Theresa's friend 50 years after school until Theresa departed this life. Theresa was employed by Smithfield Packing Company for 21 years. She loved cooking and writing. She wrote her family letters with so many pages, we called her letters a dictionary. She enjoyed football, a Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. She enjoyed being outside. Whenever family or friends visited her, she would ask them to take her outside so she could absorb the fresh air. Theresa was preceded in death by her brothers Nollie and Mack Holloway. She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters Cynthia Tynes (Eddie Spivey) of Portsmouth, VA, Marshal C. Holloway of Hampton, VA and Theresa L. Jordan of Newport News, VA; three sisters Odessa Holloway, Gloria Mosley of Newport News, VA and Ida M. Holloway of Aurora, Colorado; two brothers George Holloway of Newport News, VA and Barry Holloway of South Carolina; seven grandchildren Demar, Shiniece, Sheniqua, Fredrick Jr., Tierra, Diamond, and Destiny; four great-grandchildren Jayden, Nevaeh, Nasir, and Demar Jr., and a child from the heart "Lisa Edwards", and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will keep Theresa's memory forever in their heart A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11am Saturday October 26, 2019 at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Viewing will take place Friday October 25, 2019 from 4-7 pm at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Professional services entrusted to Shivers Funeral Chapel.
