Tasha Nicole Taylor

An angel, Tasha Nicole Taylor, 38, was born to earth on October 4th, 1986 in Hampton, VAto Fitzgerald Taylor and Peggy-Vance Taylor. Tasha was raised in Hampton and attended Phoebus High School graduating in 2004. In 2005, she moved to Smithfield, Virginia to reside with her family. Her unwavering dedication to higher education allowed her to obtain a Bachelors in Psychology in 2009 from Regent University. Following this, a masters in mental health counseling from Capella university in 2013. She went on to pursue her PHD in mental health counseling from Liberty University. 

Tasha worked as a Nursing Academic Advisor at Camp Community college & was a pivotal figure to the college positively influencing & touching the lives of countless students and colleagues. She selflessly dedicated herself to her work and to countless others to help them achieve higher levels of education, success and mental wellbeing. She had a passion for nurturing and empowering others for better. Tasha bestowed a selfless spirit of servicing everyone who she came in contact with, changing &blessing the lives of all who had the chance to know her.

Tasha loved her family with every fiber of her being and all she had within her; them being her heart. She would go out her way just to ensure they were beyond good. Her favorite way to show how much she loved people was through her cooking. Tasha LOVED to cook. Her favorite dish to make being the BEST Mac n cheese on the planet.

She was the best confidant, therapist, and listener. The best daughter, sister, friend, niece, granddaughter & beyond anyone could ask for. In her personal down time, Tasha enjoyed singing; she loved music and had the voice of an angel. She loved binge-watching Scandal & Buffy the Vampire slayer her favorite 90s nostalgia. She loved to read, write &had an extreme passion for all things DISNEY! Disney world was her favorite place to be & for those around her, being in Tasha’s presence was a trip to Disney world in itself. She beamed nothing short of positivity, love, magic and lights up a room with her beautiful smile. It was magical experience just to know her.

On April 14th, 2025, Tasha completed her assignment here on earth as an Angel and retired returning to her enteral home. She leaves behind her father (Fitzgerald Taylor) mother (Peggy Taylor) sister (Tiffany Taylor) and baby to family (Ja’cory Taylor aka“boom boom”). She also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, grandmother, friends and other individuals who thought the world of her and who will miss her beyond words.

On Monday, April 21, 2025, Viewing will take place at Shivers Funeral Chapel from 3-6 pm with a period of Reflections from 5-6 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12pm Tuesday April 22, 2025, at Paul D. Camp Community College Regional Workforce Center, 121 North College Drive, Franklin, VA 23851.
