Scarlette "Big Red" P. Kea
November 28, 1954 — June 4, 2015
Scarlette Paulette (Big Red) Kea, a loving sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend was born on November 28, 1954, to the late James Randolph Kea Sr. and Frances Mae Kea. She entered into eternal rest on June 4, 2015. Scarlette was a graduate of Smithfield High School and was last employed at Smithfield Packing Company. Scarlette received Jesus as her Lord and Savior and joined Emmanuel Baptist Church. Other than her parents, Scarlette was preceded in death by her brother, James R. Kea Jr. Scarlette leaves to cherish her loving memory six sisters: Shirley Lewis, Darlene C. Robertson, Willie C. Robinson (Grayland), Brenda L. Kearney (Anthony), Frances C. Robinson (Johnnie) and Yolanda M. Brown, four brothers: James R. Cypress (Cynthia), Raymond L. Cypress (Mary), Zachary D. Kea, Danyel F. Kea (Natasha) and Tarvarus D. Kea, one aunt Dorothy S. Chavers, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. One special cousin whom kept her Spiritually uplifted, Mrs. Evelyn H. Blount of Jacksonville, Fla. The family takes comfort in knowing that a loving God knows best; for there is an open gate at the end of the road where each of us must go alone. A Funeral Service will be held 1:00pm Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Shivers Funeral Chapel, Smithfield, Va. Viewing Wednesday, June 10, 2015 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm at the Chapel. Burial Date June 11, 2015
