Saveon X Artis

Mr. Saveon Xavier Artis 24, OF Carrollton, Virginia received his calling to be with the lord on January 5, 2021 at Sentara Norfolk General, Norfolk, Virginia, with his parents at his bedside. Saveon was born December 14, 1996. He was the youngest of 5 siblings. He received the lord at a very young age and continued to have faith in God, believing in the power of prayer. He attended and graduated from Smithfield High School and the Governor's School of Arts. His education also continued at Thomas Nelson Community College and Old Dominion University. Saveon was a very special young man who had many dreams and ambitions. His desire was to become a lawyer to help people. He had courage, faith and a determination, to overcome his medical conditions. He is survived by his parents, James and Cynthia Arts, siblings, James (deceased), Jennifer, Grand Prairie, Texas, Shari, Hampton, Va, Derek (Sandra), Fort Bragg, NC, grandmother, Irma Goodwyn, Branchville, Va. Two nieces, five nephews a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins. A Graveside Celebration will be held 11 am Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Mount Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery, 14165 Race Track Road, Ivor, VA 23866. Public viewing will take place Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 2-4 pm at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Mr. Artis is in the loving and professional care of Shivers Funeral Chapel.
