On Tuesday, June 7, 2022, Romine Amanda Warren of Zuni, VA , transitioned to her heavenly home at Coliseum Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Hampton, Virginia. Romine was born In Southampton County, December 30, 1932. To the late Isaac W. Butler and Mabel C. Butler. Romine was a faithful member for over 75 years at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Ivor, Va. She loved her Pastors. She served as a deaconess ,Pastors Aide, Nurse Aide, and Women's Ministry. Romine, was known for her famous Watergate Salad and tomato pudding. She cooked many meals morning, noon and night for the farm helpers during crop season. She transported surrounding neighbors to and from appointments, church services and local activities. She was a professional housekeeper and hairdresser. She was a member of Senior Citizen Day Program, Zuni Day Committee, 4-H member and Zuni Social Savings Club. She attended Ebenezer School in County. She loved the Lord and enjoyed the preaching and singing on Sundays. She was known to lean over in the Deaconess corner and ask "Who is that?" "Where are they from?" and "What they say?" Romine was proceeded in death by her parents husband; Edwin Warren Sr, siblings; Alice Moore (Simon), Samuel Butler (Catherine), Gracie Russell (Alfonso), Margaret Simmons (Harold), Melvin Butler, Joe Butler (Frances) and grandson; Benjamin Walker Ill. She leaves to cherish her children; Edwin Warren Ill (Shirley) Windsor, Va; Elaine Brown (George) Hampton, Va; Deborah Perry (Michael) Newport News, Va; Bobby Earl, Zuni, Va. Siblings; Willie Paul Butler, Maryland, James Butler (Juanita) Norfolk, Va; Thelma Saunders, Suffolk, Va; (5) grandchildren, (8)great- grandchildren and (1) great-great grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00pm Monday, June 13, 2022 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Ivor, Virginia. Viewing will take place from 2-5pm on Sunday, June 12,2022 at the chapel.
