On August 31, 2023 Owen Alphonso Parker transitioned home to be with his heavenly Father.
Owen was the son of the late James Parker and the late Audrey Taliaferro Parker. He was born on March 29, 1958 in Smithfield VA. He loved spending time with family and friends. He was a dedicated employee of Smithfield Packing for thirty plus years until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his sister Joyce Parker Edwards and brother James Parker Jr. both from Smithfield VA.
He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter Omeka Seaborn ( Hampton VA) one granddaughter Jakayla Seaborn ( Hampton VA) three brothers Ronald Parker Sr( Linda) Smithfield VA, Horace Parker ( Renae) Surry VA, Steven Parker Sr (Wanda) Smithfield VA., one sister-in-law Barbara Parker, one uncle Harold Taliaferro ( Jorita) Willingboro NJ, one aunt Sadie Taliaferro Reid Newport News VA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
We will truly miss his laughter and Love of Life.
A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held 11:00am Thursday, September 07, 2023 at Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery. Viewing will take place on Wednesday, September 06, 2023 from 3-6pm at the chapel. Please keep the Parker Family in your prayers.
