Mary Payne

Mary Ann Payne, our beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, went home to be with the Lord January 7, 2022. She passed peacefully at home, in Suffolk, VA, surrounded by her loved ones. Mary was born July 19, 1955 in Suffolk, VA. She was the daughter of Consyvilla Parker Payne and the late Arcelious Payne. Mary accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She graduated from Forest Glen High School in 1973. She retired from CitiTrends. She loved spending time with her family and friends and was always looking forward to our next vacation. Mary leaves a legacy of love and precious memories to her mother, Consyvilla Payne of Suffolk, VA; daughter Whitney Payne (Tevin) and granddaughter Cimayiah Payne of Suffolk, VA; a brother Robert Payne (Jean) of Richmond, VA; two sisters Juanita Payne and Patricia Payne of Suffolk, VA; one niece Sheniqua Everett, four nephews Christopher Payne, Brandon Wiggins, Michael Young, Chauncey Brown; great nieces and nephews Da’Niya, Christopher Jr., Xavier, Destinee, Malia, Michael Jr., Aaliyah; a special cousin Shelia Eure and many aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends. Mary will be missed by all who knew and loved her. The family can be comforted by knowing that she is resting and that she will be reunited on the other side with the loved ones she lost while here on earth. Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00pm on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Shivers Funeral Chapel BY INVITATION ONLY.
