Marshall Clarke, 82 of Smithfield, Virginia departed this life and entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Waverly Nursing Home and Rehabilitation, Waverly, Virginia. Marshall leaves behind to cherish his memories a devoted and loving nephew and caretaker, Wayne "Tony" Clarke (Tiffany); a son, Craig Stokes (Janet); a brother, Frizelle Clarke (Sarah Ann); a sister, Jacqueline Hill; sister-in-law, Phyllis Clarke; brother-in-law, James H. Gray; a grandson, Craig M. Stokes Jr.; a grand-daughter, Jamequa D. Reid, a host of nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. Family and friends will be received at the home of Frizelle and Sarah Clarke at 12290 Whitehouse Rd. Smithfield Va. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00pm Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Ivor, Va. Viewing will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 4-7 pm at the chapel. Interment will be in the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church cemetery. Professional services are entrusted to Shivers Funeral Chapel.
