Lynn Gertrude Liggins

Lynn Gertrude Liggins passed away on April 10 2022 in Newport News Virginia at the age of 67. She is survived by her husband James Liggins, her brother Phillip Iorio, her two sons Arthur Doherty and Edward Lord and eight grandchildren Alex, Lauryn, Erick, David, Lena, Tyler, Connor, and John as well as one great granddaughter Brooklynn. Lynn was born and raised in Medford Massachusetts to Francis and Phillip Iorio. She worked for the Massachusetts department of revenue for twenty plus years before retiring and moving to Virginia for a new beginning and met her husband James Liggins this began her final chapter of this earthly life. Lynn lived life and loved to the fullest, bringing her spark for life to everyone she met. She could bring the sunshine to a rainy day. Lynn loved and cherished her family and friends and you need not be related to be called family. Lynn’s love could be felt by all who she allowed in her life but most of all she loved God with whom she now resides. God’s loving grace is now her eternal resting place. Yea though I walk through the valley in the shadow of death. I will fear no evil for thou art with me. Psalm 23:4 A Service of Celebration will be held 11am Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Faith Deliverance Baptist Church 6116 Briarfield Rd. Newport News, VA 23605.
