Lucius Isidore Goodson's Obituary August 28, 1955 - February 29, 2016 While resting in his hospital bed Monday evening, February 29, 2016, Lucius Isidore Goodson, saw angels, his sister, Mimi, and Jesus. He said Jesus keeps sending me back, but I want to go to my heavenly home now. So Jesus granted him his final prayer to be with Him forevermore. Now, the angels are welcoming him in Glory. Lucius was born August 28, 1955 in Newport News, VA. He was a kind, gentle, talented, sincere man who loved Jesus. He was educated in the Newport News Public Schools, but his passion was playing the guitar. He played other instruments, but his main love was that guitar. During his youth, his brother, Vernon, and friends started the group Jade', which they travelled locally and abroad and made records. He was proud of the opportunity they had to work with musicians such as the Spinners, Luther Vandross, The Eagles, and many others. But he was most proud when he gave his heart to Jesus and joined Victory Life Church (VLC) in Hampton, VA. Lucius was faithful to the Lord and used his gifts and talents fervently at VLC. He graduated from The Christian Bible Training Center at VLC in 2003. For many years, Lucius played his guitar in the Praise and Worship band and worked the sound board at VLC. His favorite pastimes were music (playing guitar/writing songs), cooking (the man could cook!) and reading God's Word (O, how he loved the Lord!) and being a husband to Pam (Sebrina) and dad to Victoria and Joy. He loved all his nieces and nephews. He was employed almost 19 years with Hampton Roads Transit, Hampton, VA until he could no longer physically work. Lucius was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Addie Goodson, brothers, Worth (Bill) Goodson and Vernon (Bo Peep) Goodson, and his sister, Charlotte (Mimi) Goodson. Lucius leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Pamela Sebrina, daughters Victoria and Joy Vernon, his sister Josephine Goodson-Hendricks, in-laws, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
