Linda Parker

Linda G. Parker was called home to heaven on March 6, 2024. Her strong faith and devotion to family were the foundation of a lifetime of happiness, ups and downs, and health struggles. Linda was born on February 9, 1953, third of five children to the late Carey and Betty Goldman of Cullen, VA.

Linda attended Randolph Henry High school and graduated in 1971. Linda matriculated to Hampton University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. While attending a Hampton University and working a part time job she met Ronald S. Parker Sr. Linda married Ronald on March of 1975. From their union they had three sons Kenneth, Kevin and Ronald Jr. Linda was a devoted nurse of Isle of Wight Health Department and Sentara Hampton General Hospital until she retired. She was highly respected by her co-workers and cherished by the patients she provided care for. Linda’s love for gardening kept her in her flower beds. Linda enjoyed sewing and many family members were given garments made by the skilled seamstress.

She was preceded in death by her parents Carey and Betty Goldman of Cullen VA; grandson Miles Parker of Smithfield, VA; sister LeArta Dailey of Cullen, VA; brother Carey Goldman Jr of Cullen, VA; sister in law Joyce Edwards of Smithfield, VA; brother in laws James T. Parker Jr and Alphonso Parker of Smithfield, VA.

Linda leaves to cherish her memory her husband Ronald Parker of Smithfield, VA ; sons Kenneth Parker (Tiffany), Kevin Parker (Schadel) and Ronald Parker Jr (Nicole) of Smithfield, VA; grandchildren Landon Parker, Asa Parker, Naomi Parker, and Noah Parker of Smithfield, VA; sisters Loreda Jones (Delano) of Chesterfield, VA; Betty Allen (Ronald) of Prospect, VA; brothers in law Horace Parker (Rena) of Surry, VA; Steven Parker Sr (Wanda) of Smithfield, VA; Theodore Edwards of Smithfield, VA; Otis Dailey of Cullen, VA; sister in law Barbara Parker of Smithfield, VA; godchildren Steven Parker Jr (Chelsie) of Carrolton, VA; Chelsea Holley of Smithfield, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
