Lilton Liggins Jr.

Lilton Liggins, Jr. answered the Master's call and transformed from labor to reward on Thursday, February 1, 2018. He was native of Isle of Wight County, Virginia. The second oldest son of four children, he was born on June 15, 1962 to Lilton Liggins, Sr. and Udessa B. Liggins. He was a member of New Community Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, Virginia. As a child growing up, he attended and joined Morning Star Baptist Church, Windsor, Virginia. It was there that he found Christ. Lilton attended the public schools of Isle of Wight County and he graduated from Windsor High School in 1980. He also was a 1984 Cum Laude graduate of Virginia Union University, Richmond, Virginia. Following graduation he worked in the Mortgage and Finance Industry for over thirty years. He was preceded in death by his father, Lilton Liggins, Sr. He leaves to cherish is memory, his mother Udessa B. Liggins; six brothers, Kevin Liggins (Daphne), Michael Liggins (Angela) Kenneth Lewis (Sharon), Terry Lewis (Marcy), Michael Lewis and Lionel Jones (Desiree); one sister, Keisha Latrice Liggins Flemings; three aunts, Margie Smith, Julia B. Liggins and Veronica Williams; one uncle, Vernon Ross Butler and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00AM Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Shivers Funeral Chapel, Smithfield, Va. Viewing will be held from 4-7PM on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the Chapel. Interment will be in the Chapel Grove United Church of Christ, Windsor, Va. Professional Services are entrusted to Shivers Funeral Chapel.
