John Lee Jr.

John "Bubba" Lee, Jr. entered his eternal rest on Sunday, September 24, 2017 in his residence. He was born to the late John & Earline Whitehead Lee on February 16, 1951. John Lee retired from the United States Army in 1992 after 20 years of service. He was a faithful Disciple of Solomon's Temple where he served on the Men's Ministry, Usher's Ministry, Trustee Ministry and the Male Chorus where he enjoyed singing with the Sons of Solomon. He is survived by his wife Elder Karen Walker Lee, three Children Krystle Murphy, Sheena Graham, Ulrica Graham, three Sisters, Carrie Dowson (Jesse), Lucy Hunt (Walter), Minister Cynthia Woodley (Kenneth) Three Brothers, Deacon Alvin Lee Sr. (Brenda), Darnell Lee Sr. (Kim) and Milton Lee (Neomi). Two Uncles, two brothers-in-law, mother-in-law Glennie Walker and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00pm on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at First Baptist Church, Franklin, Va. Viewing will be from 4-7pm on Friday, September 29, 2017 at the chapel. Interment will be in the Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans cemetery, Suffolk, Va. on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 11:00am. Professional services entrusted to Shivers Funeral Chapel.
