James W. Ruspus, known as "JW" entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at Sentara Hospice House. He was a resident of Smithfield, VA and was born on October 3, 1939. He retired from Surry County Public Sanitation after 26 years of service. A funeral will be held Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at Shivers Funeral Chapel, Smithfield, VA., followed by burial at Tynes Memorial Cemetery and repast at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Friends may join the family on Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Shivers Funeral Chapel for public viewing.
