James Darius Holloway

On March 29, 2025, James Darius Holloway 55, was called by God to depart this earthly life suddenly at his residence.

Darius was born September 30, 1969, to the late Robert Holloway, Jr. and Shirley M. Hill. He was educated in Isle of Wight County School System where he graduated from Smithfield High School. Darius worked for Tidewater Occupation Center until they closed.

Darius accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Ivor, Virginia.

Darius leaves to cherish his memory his mother Shirley M. Hill; stepfather Wallace Hill; brother Roderick Holloway; god sister Lt. Shajaylyn Davis, DO; step brother Wallace Hill, Jr.; god parents Alice Day and Charles Spratley; aunts and uncles Evelyn Lee (Charlie), Helen Reese (Melvin), Gladys Eatton (Larry) and Betty Newby (Lee); great uncles and aunts Dena Tynes, Patricia Major, Flourine Poole (Earnest) and Hurley Holloman (Francine); step nephew and host of cousins and friends to leave and carry on his legacy.

Darius will be truly missed.

On Wednesday, April 2, 2025, viewing will take place from 3-6pm at Shivers Funeral Chapel. At 12pm on Thursday, April 3, 2025, a Celebration of Life will be held at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. Please keep the Holloway family in your thoughts and prayers.
