And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4 Gwendolyn Althea Cypress entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 26, 2017. She fought a good fight. She finished her course. She kept the faith. She is no longer in pain. She is praising her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Gwen was born September 9, 1962 to Mrs. Frances Cutler in Smithfield, Virginia. She attended school in Isle of Wight County and graduated from Smithfield High School in 1980. Gwen's career started in the bakery at Littles Supermarket in the early 1980s. After leaving Little's she was employed with Farm Fresh for over 20 years. She developed a passion for cooking and baking. As a matter of fact, she was an excellent cook and baker. If you could name it, she could cook it. Everyone loved her food. To be truthful everyone loved Gwen. She had a meek and quiet spirit which was pleasing to God and a pleasant personality to her family and friends. Gwen was kind-hearted, soft-spoken and her smile would brighten up a room. She would do anything she could to help someone else. She gave her life to the Lord many years ago, and was baptized at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Gwen was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Cypress. She leaves to cherish her memory the love of her life for 37 years Victor Robinson of Smithfield, VA; her mother, Frances Cutler of Smithfield, VA; her daughter Tiffany Cypress of Chesapeake, VA; her son, Victor Cypress of Smithfield, VA; seven devoted grandchildren, Quarmaine Johnson and Dontasea Johnson of Chesapeake, VA, Ja'Quaris Cypress and Vic'tojah Cypress of Newport News, VA, Vickora Cypress and Victoria Cypress of Smithfield, VA, and Adonis Heart of Maryland.
