Georgia Delk Green

On Sunday, June 5,2022, Georgia Lee Green was called home to eternal rest at her residence in Smithfield, VA. She was born on September 15, 1938, in Isle of Wight County to the late Edgar Delk Sr. & Martha Johnson Delk. Georgia was a faithful member of Mount Tabor C.O.G.I.C. under Bishop Clarence Sellers Jr. (Pastor) Georgia was preceded in death by her oldest son Louis Delk, her two sisters Virt Lee Delk Wilkerson, Doretha Goldston, and three brothers Gardner Delk, Edgar Delk Jr. and Elmo James. Georgia leaves to cherish her memory her children Cheri Delk, Regina Green and Janice Green of Smithfield, Virginia, Johnnie Williams Green Jr of Houston, Texas, three sisters Burnette Delk, Martha Taliaferro and Virgie Cornick of Smithfield, Virginia. Georgia has 15 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. LIFE HAS TO END. LOVE DOESN’T AND SHE SHALL REST. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00am on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Mt. Tabor COGIC in Smithfield, Virginia. Interment following service at Mt Tabor COGIC Cemetery.
