On the evening of January 22, 2017 God called our beloved George Sheppard Sr. home. George was born on September 20, 1948 in Delaware to the late Carrie Ann Sheppard and Raleigh Wilson Williams Jr. He leaves behind his former wife Leola Tyler. Three children from the marriage; Phoebe L. Sheppard, Atlanta, Ga George Sheppard Jr.(Tracey) , Newport News, and Jennifer Sheppard , Hampton,Va. Two granddaughters; Kiara Jade , Atlanta, Ga, Juaneesha Gray, Richmond, Va. Three grandsons; George Ricks(Gabrielle), Richmond, Va, Eric Whitlow & Brian Whitlow , Newport News, Va. Three sisters; Sandra Tyler(Charles), Darlene Williams , Surry, Va, Qadirah Abdulla, Newport News, Va. Three Brothers; Stacey Williams Newport News, Va, Kevin Williams Newport News, Va, and Tracy Williams, Surry, Va. a host of nieces and nephews and great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life service will be held 1:00PM Friday January 27, 2017 at Ferguson Grove Baptist Church, Surry, Va. Public Viewing will be held Thursday January 26, 2017 from 4-7PM at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Professional services entrusted to Shivers Funeral Chapel.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 1:00PM Friday January 27, 2017 at Ferguson Grove Baptist Church, Surry, Va. Public Viewing will be held Thursday January 26, 2017 from 4-7PM at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Professional services entrusted to Shivers Funeral Chapel.
