Fuller A. Johnson

Fuller Ashton Johnson, affectionately known as “Acey”, gained his wings on Thursday December 8, 2022. He was called home by God at Maryview Medical Center surrounded by his beloved daughter, Treana and devoted sister, Evelyn. He was preceded in death by his son, Fuller Melton. Acey was born to the late Lois Holloway (John) and Willie Brown on April 30,1958.

Acey grew up in and attended Isle of Wight County Public Schools. He was employed at Newport News Shipyard for 24 years. He later started Johnson Trucking Company where he attentively drove his eighteen-wheeler for many years. From coaching little league to watching the Chicago Bears in his man cave, Acey was an avid football fan. He was all about FAMILY AFFAIRS. FAMILY AFFAIRS was him hosting lavish cookouts, playing great music, riding prestige motorcycles and loving on his large family and many friends.  Acey loved the Lord and enjoyed attending church services in North Carolina at The Mount Elizabeth City.

Acey leaves to cherish his memories two children: Fultreana Ruiz (Omar), Fuller Faulks; eight grandchildren: Briana Torres, Christian Ruiz, Ka Faulk, Nyia Faulk, Kendall Faulk, Legend Faulk and, Riyan Hill. Two sisters, Evelyn Blow (Ronnie), Sharon Dickson (Johnnie); Two Brothers, Reginald and Kevin Brown; seven aunts, LaRonda Turner (Thomas), Cathy Whitley, Blanche Smith (Jarrett), Lorraine Graves, Cassandra Avant, Cathy Lee, and Catherine Brown; two uncles: Donald Smith (Cathy), James W. Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00am on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Viewing will take place on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 3-6pm at the chapel.
