Francina Wallace Ince

Francina Katherine Ince, age 74, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 30th, surrounded by her children and grandchildren at Riverside Regional Hospital in Newport News, Virginia. Born on April 19th, 1950, in the Bronx, New York, she was the beloved daughter of the late Janet and Frank Wallace. Francina graduated from the High School of Art and Design and went on to work with American Airlines for many years.

Francina’s faith was central to her life, and she found joy in watching Sunday services and reading her Bible. In her free time, she loved to draw, paint, and dance. A devoted mother and grandmother, Francina cherished her family deeply, often speaking with love of her parents, Janet and Frank Wallace, and her sister, Janet "Boopy" Baber, who passed away too soon. Francina shares two daughters with Vincent Alphonso Ince. She enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, especially connecting with close friends and her family, and had a remarkable ability to touch people’s lives in meaningful, positive ways.

Francina is survived by her daughters, Candice Cary and Xavier Marshall; sons-in-law, Darrin Cary and Eddie Marshall; grandchildren, Eric Ince, Alexis Cary, Carter Cary, Corey Ince, Jayla Woods, Samina Woods, and Leaha Ince; and great-grandchildren, Eric Mosley Ince and Justice McCord. She also leaves behind her sister, Tanya Jenkins; her brother, Frank Wallace; sister-in-law, Deborah Wallace; and a host of nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

A Celebration of life will be held 12pm Friday, November 8, 2024 at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Viewing will take place two hours prior to the service from 10am-12pm.  Interment will be private. Please keep the Wallace-Ince family in your thoughts and prayers.
