Romans 8: 38-39 Frances Ann Allmond Tynes, age 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with her loving family surrounding her. Frances was born January 20, 1945 to the late Lewiston "Blu" and Bessie Crawley in Isle of Wight County, where she grew up. At an early age, she was baptized and united with Muddy Cross Church, which became New Bethany Christian UCC. Over the years, Frances diligently served at the Church on various boards and held positions including the usher board, senior choir, missionary, church reporter and the Hospitality Committee. She was also a Deaconess and lead many programs such as 100 Men in Black Suits, Women in Red, the Birthday Celebration and the Rededication of the On July 22, 1967, Frances married the love of her life, the late William MacAuthor Tynes, whom she affectionately called "boss man". From this union, two children were born. During their marriage, they hosted many dinners, showers and super bowl parties. Frances loved to cook and entertain, serving some of her favorite dishes including her famous rice pudding. Frances took part in other organizations including Relay for Life and was one of the founding members of a ladies' social club called the Friendly Eight. She often visited different churches in the area for Sunday morning services including Sandy Mount Baptist, Solomon's Temple and Christian Home. She also attended the Golden Age Senior bible study at Christian Home until her health began to fail. Frances was employed by Boone's Cleaners and Haynes Poultry Farm in her early working career. Later, she was employed by Isle of Wight County Public Schools driving the school bus for 42 years. She also drove to P.D. Pruden Vocational School in Suffolk, VA and later worked as an aide on the handicap bus. Frances loved her family as well. She had a tight bond with many of her cousins from the Allmond, Crawley, Ensley, and was very close to the Tynes as well. She has touched the lives of many people with her smile, conversation, sense of humor and her hugs. Frances has never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by many. Frances was preceded in death by her sister Irene A. Carmeron. She leaves to cherish her memory, a son, Steve N. Tynes; a daughter, Schadel T. Parker (Kevin); grandchildren, Kiana L. Tynes,Jasmine T. Tynes, De'Von S. Tynes, Tre'Von N. Tynes, their mother, Constance B. Tynes, and Kaleb N. Tynes; a great-grandson, Alexander L. Rawlings; sisters, Odell C. Turner and Sandra D. Allmond; brother-in-law, Robert E. Tynes (Terry); sister-in laws, Ida T. Adkins, Doris T. Gwaltney, Linda T. Williams and Maxine Tynes; a godson, Avanti Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1pm Sunday, March 13, 2022 at New Bethany U.C.C.
