Earnestine Giles Delk was called from labor to reward and entered into her father's kingdom on November 24, 2016. God sent his death angel to pick one of his most precious flowers. Earnestine was born to the late Willie & Cora Giles on August 27, 1934 in Nansemond county. She began her Christian life at Macedonia A.M.E Church in Carrollton, Va. and later joined Emmanuel Baptist Church in Smithfield, Va. after her union to her late husband Ray Delk. She was educated at the Isle of Wight training school. Earnestine was employed by West Supermarket in Smithfield and retired from Smithfield foods (ITT Gwaltney). After retirement she spent time as a home caregiver. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Emmanuel Baptist Church until her health failed. She served in various ministries to include the Seniors' Missionary ministry, the Senior Choir where she served as Chaplin, the Mass Choir, Monday Bible Study member, Sunday School member, Kitchen Helper/Hostess ministry, the Tutorial program, and was a former member of pastor's aide ministry. Earnestine loved the lord, her family, pastor and church. Earnestine was preceded in death by her son Willie Norris Bailey and a host of brothers and sisters. Earnestine leave to cherish her memory one brother; Timothy Edwards of Newport News, Va., one son; Alfred T "Baby Ray" Bailey (wife; Sheila) of Newport News, Va., stepson; Ray Delk Jr. of Newport News, Va., grandchildren; Katina L. Bailey and Letitia L. Bailey, of Newport News, Va., Shakeisha "Angel" Bailey of Boston Mass. and Latrelle Bailey of Portsmouth Va., great grandchildren; Da'Sean T. Beckett and Jordan A. Beckett both of Newport News, Va. and a host ofstep children, step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Rest on dear mother and grandmother. We love you and we will miss you but we know God love you best.
