Dominate L. Johnson

Dominate L. Johnson was called home to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 20, 2024 at her residence in Hampton, VA. She was born July 6, 1982. 

Dominate was a mother, sister, aunt, great aunt, and a loving daughter. She was a friend to many. She loved to laugh and have fun. She loved to be silly and make people laugh. 

She loved music. Her favorite group was Immature. She loved her family and friends very much. She was outgoing and free spirited. 

Dominate worked as an accountant at the Casino in Las Vegas. She is very much loved and will be truly missed by all. 

She was preceded in death by her father Romond King, her grandparents Lucy and Linwood Ellis and Richard and Gracie King, and aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

She leaves to cherish her memory her mother Noreen Johnson; her four children Kalima McCallum, Janayjah Woodfork, Ja’leah Yates and Jared Yates; her sisters and brother Betsy Flowers, Melissa Ellis, Travis Ellis (Tiffany), Precious Rose and Cindy Rose; her nieces and nephews Veronica, Shea, LaTasha, Elijah, Alterek, Aliyah, Traneysia, Travanye, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. 

On Friday, September 27, 2024, viewing will take place from 3-6pm at Shivers Funeral Chapel. at 11am on Saturday, September 28, 2024, a Celebration of Life service will also be held at the Chapel.  Interment will be private. Please keep the Johnson family in your thoughts and prayers.
