Daisy "Mae" Johnson Foreman of Zuni, Virginia entered into the eternal arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 11:33pm. on Monday, December 12, 2022 at her residence.
God informed Daisy her work here on earth was done, her course was finished, and she had fought the good fight of faith. She is now eternal in the heavens with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the Almighty God! Although we mourn, we rejoice in the fact that she is at rest with Jesus. Daisy was born on November 13, 1964 to William W. Johnson Sr. and the late Daisy Faulk Johnson. She was the youngest girl of eight children.
She married Carl M. Foreman in 1983 and from this union came three children Carl Jr. (C.J.), Sandra, and Andre. Daisy attended Windsor Elementary and High School. After taking a break to raise her kids Daisy went on to Paul D. Camp Community College where she Associate's degree in Clerical Studies.
At the time of her death, Daisy was a member of Scotts Revival Church, Franklin VA, where she attended regularly prior to her illness. Daisy was an active member in the ministry. She was a part of the marriage ministry along with her husband Carl. She was one of the favorite teachers for children's Bible study. The art teacher for Vacation Bible School. Daisy was also the set designer for the church Christmas plays. Daisy was known for her arts and crafts. She had the gift of turning a "rag into a treasure". She sewed, crocheted, made floral arrangements and specialty crafts. At the height of Covid, Daisy made hundreds of unique masks for her family and friends. She was our "Dorcas”. She was truly a selfless soul. Throughout her sickness, Daisy claimed her cure. She confessed daily her faith in God and her strong belief regarding her ultimate healing. Her unwavering faith persisted until the time of her transition. She is now whole. She loved her family, and her grandchildren were the "apples of her eye". They affectionately referred to her as "Nana"
She was preceded in death by her mother Daisy Faulk Johnson and sister Mary Johnson Chappell. She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted husband, Carl M. Foreman, her children Carl J. Foreman (Nina) of Denver, CO, Sandra Bailey (Charles) of Lynchburg, VA and Andre Foreman (Vaneshia) of Delray Beach, FL. Four grandchildren Ariana, Leyla, Angelo "Jay", and Aubrey; Her father William W. Johnson, Sr., sisters Rachel Osborne (Larry) of Zuni, VA, Brenda Croker (Ronnie) of Jacksonville, NC, and Iris McAllister (James) of Suffolk, VA, brothers William W. Johnson, Jr. (Tarshe) of Smithfield, VA, Clayton Johnson (Sherry) of Hampton, VA and Mark Johnson (Vicki) of Jacksonville, NC. She also leaves to mourn nine nieces and nephews and a host of dear cousins and friends
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12pm Monday, December 19, 2022 at Apostolic Faith Church of God 680 Oak St. Franklin, VA. Viewing will take place Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 2-5pm at Scott's Revival Center 1816 South Street, Franklin, VA 23851. Please keep the Foreman and Johnson family in your thoughts and prayers.
