Carolyn King Holmes

Carolyn King Holmes  transitioned  from this life  Sunday, May 28, 2023 at her residence.

She was born to Allie B. King and Virgie King. She grew up in Smithfield, VA and attended school in Isle of Wight County Public Schools.

Carolyn’s memory is treasured by her daughters, Kayla King and Andrake Holmes ; sons ;Georgio King,  and Najee Wilson (Chenga Wilson);  six grandchildren; K’den Hunter, Michael Barkley, Jr., Destiny Rodgers, Kody Holmes, and  Kauri and Konner Wilson.

Carolyn will be missed by her sister Jacqueline (Peyton) Jones, and her brothers; Gregory (Miriam ) King, Allie, Hasaan (Rita) Abdul Malik, Vonzell (Laverne) King and Craig (Beverly) King.

Carolyn loved life and enjoyed being with her family. Those we love can never be more than a thought away…or as long as there’s a memory, they live in our hearts to stay.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12pm Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Viewing will take place two hours prior to the service from 10am - 12pm on the date of the funeral. Please keep the King-Holmes family in your thoughts and prayers.
