The Life of Brenda C. Gafford 

Brenda C. Gafford passed away at VCU Medical Center on June 15, 2024, at 10:40am. Brenda was born May 8, 1960 to the late Leon Holloman and the late Geraldine H. Newby. She was preceded in death by her mother Geraldine H. Newby and biological father Leon Holloman.

Brenda leaves behind her loving son T. J. Gafford; granddaughter Savannah Gafford; dad Edgar E. Newby III; brothers Edgar E. Newby IV and Wayne Alexander Newby; sister-in-law Williemae Newby; aunt Claudia Newby -Tynes and a wonderful list of amazing aunts and uncles; cousins Edna Artis, Toni Artis, and Larry Artis and a long list of wonderful cousins.

Therefore, let it be known that we honor the life and memory of Soror Brenda LeGeral Gafford aka "Stage Queen," and her name will never be erased from the official books of Rho Alpha Tau, Inc. She is and will forever be our Soror and our sister in Christ. In as much as we make that declaration, Soror Brenda LeGeral Gafford aka "Stage Queen" is hereby officially inducted with honors in the Omega Chapter of Rho Alpha Tau, Inc.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 11am on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Shivers Funeral Chapel.  Interment will be private.  Please keep the Gafford family in your prayers
