Brandon M. Ward

Brandon our dear father, fiancé, son, brother, nephew, uncle cousin and friend departed this life on the afternoon of July 21, 2023. While his precious life was savagely taken his soul now rejoices in the bliss of God.

Brandon was born July 1, 1992 in Newport news, VA to Keith and Shawn Ward. Brandon’s charming personality and glowing smile would light any room drawing in all he met. Growing up in Hampton, Va he was surrounded by a dedicated community of family, neighbors, teachers and friends. His early values and foundation of faith began at Mt Tabor C.O.G.I.C. Brandon attended and graduated from Bethel High School, Hampton, VA in 2010. He was a resident of Norfolk, VA and a valued employee at General Dynamics  Nassco -Norfolk as a safety inspector. He was often recognized for his stellar performance and affection toward his colleagues and clients.

As a young adult he evolved into a proud family man and provider. His children were his pride and joy. Diamond was his precious jewel. Being around any of his family and friends was his favorite past-time.

Brandon was proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents, the late Matthew and Mamie  Ward and his maternal grandparents Marian Major and Arthur Cornick, jr.

To cherish his memories, he leaves his parents Keith and Shawn Ward of Hampton, Va; his fiancé Diamond Goodman of Norfolk, VA; his children, Auset Goodman, Amarii Ward and  Aza’i Ward, his siblings, Montique Warren of Morris Plains, NJ, Javan Ward (Adriane) of Newport News, VA, Tiara Warren of Hampton VA; seven nieces and nephews, one great nephew and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins friends and colleagues.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11am Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Mt. Tabor C.O.G.I.C. Smithfield, VA. Viewing will take place Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 3-6pm at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Please keep the Ward Family in your thoughts and prayers.
