Betty Ricks Warren

Betty Louise Ricks Warren answered the call from her heavenly Father to come home and take her rest on Thursday July 28, 2022 at Waverly Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born to the late William and Betty W. Ricks on August 23, 1934 in Southampton County, VA. At an early age she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and joined St. Luke UCC. Later she joined Beulah Land AME Zion Church with her husband Jessie L. Warren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jessie L. Warren, son Roy Lee Warren, sisters Romaine Gray (Ashby) and Mattie I. Ricks and brothers Richard Ricks and William ‘Buck’ Ricks. She is survived by three daughters Mrs. Thelma Wallace (the late Rodney), Mae F. Warren and Mrs. Marion E. Brock (Rodney), three sons Bobby L. Warren, Reginald A. Warren and Richard A. Warren, one daughter in-law Mrs. Gracie Warren, grandchildren Eric ‘Ricky’ Warren, TaRhonda McLeod, Zandra Turner, (the late) Kimberly Perry (Carlton), Lawanda Rogers, Alex Turner, Donald O. Brock, Randy L. Brock, Sr. and Bobby Gray ’BJ’ and a host of great grandchildren, one sister Mrs. Alma T. Turner and a host of nieces and nephews, four brothers in-law Oliver M. Warren (Mary), Samuel Warren (the late Rebbie), Rev. Johnny Warren (Irene) and Emmitt Warren (the late Elaine), three sisters in-law Lizzie Artis (the late Otis), Catherine Harris (the late Joseph) and Beatrice Whitney (the late Clyde) and a special close family friend James ’Sonny Boy’ Faltz. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11am Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Beulah Land A.M.E. Zion Church 34122 Clayton Rd., Zuni, VA 23878. Viewing will take place Friday, August 5, 2022 from 3-6pm at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Please keep the Ricks-Warren family in your prayers.
