Bettie J. White

Bettie Butler-White, 72, of Hampton, Virginia transitioned to heaven on Sunday, April 9, 2017. Bettie was born in Isle of Wight County and graduated from the Isle of Wight County school system in 1963. She is the daughter of the late Arthur and Bettie Butler. Her sister Daisy Spratley and daughters Letitia Taylor and Sophia White preceded her in death. She is survived by her son Pernell Tyrell White; God-daughter Quanetra Carney; Grandchildren TaNashia Taylor, Delprado Taylor II, and Pernell T. White II. Her stepmother Alberta Butler and former husband Pernell White; sisters Gracie Wilkerson, Lillie Wilhite, and Francine Holloman of Smithfield, VA. The viewing will be from 4pm-7pm on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Shivers Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 14, 2017 at Main Street Baptist Church in Smithfield, VA at 1pm.
