Beatrice A. Wade

Mrs. Beatrice Anna Helena Wade was born September 29, 1956 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Governor Hill, Jr. and the late Jeanine Mazet Hill. She entered into her eternal rest on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Bon Secours Southside Medical Center following an illness.

She was preceded in death by her mother and her spouse of seventeen years, Raymond A. Boyers. Beatrice was united in holy matrimony to Clifton D. Wade in June 1976. God blessed this union with two children Eric and Cary.

Beatrice was baptized at an early age at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Arlington Virginia. She was an active member and later relocated to Smithfield, Virginia where she spent her remaining years.

Beatrice was educated in the Smithfield County School System. Upon graduation, she attended Virginia State University in Petersburg, Virginia. She later completed her Bachelor of Arts degree with honors at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota. She later retired after a successful career in Corporate Sales at Xerox and Retail & Merchandising Management positions for major brand retail outlets. She loved helping others and was a devoted friend, daughter and mother.

Beatrice leaves to cherish her memory her father Governor; children Eric (Grecia) and Cary; grandchildren Mia, Dallas, Della, Penelope, Giuliana, Deacon, Erica and Eric and a host of other relatives and friends.

At 11am on  Saturday, November 30, 2024, a Memorial Celebration will be held at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Please keep the Wade family in your thoughts and prayers.
