Mr. Armstead Clayton Jr. entered into eternal rest on Saturday April 9, 2016 at the Clayton family homestead in Newport News, VA. Armstead (Sunny boy) was born in Surry County on July 15, 1950 to the late Mr. Armstead Clayton Sr. and Mrs. Thelma Marie Blizzard. He attended George Washington Carver High School of Newport News and graduated with the class of 1969. He was a small business owner of a painting company prior to his retirement. Left behind to cherish Sonny boy's memory in life, his only daughter; Vittorio DeSica; three sons; Armstead Theopolous, Brian Armstead and Ashton Lewis Clayton; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two aunts; Gracie Clayton Clark and Emma Clayton of Surry County, two uncles; Mr. Roosevelt (Sylvia) and Mr. Waverly (Sara) Blizzard of Wakefield, Va., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

Burial Date April 17, 2016

A Celebration of Life service will be held 2pm Sunday April 17, 2016 at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Public viewing will be held Saturday April 16, 2016 from 1- 4pm at the chapel.
