Anthony Batten

Anthony Kyia Batten, son of Tony Batten and Unita (Deneen) Johnson, passed away in Lakewood, Washington on July 13th, 2022. Anthony was born on September 28, 1981, in Newport News, VA. He was educated in Isle of Wight County Public Schools. He served in the US Marines after graduating high school and later joined the US Army. He was currently employed at Ricoh as their Senior Onsite Service Specialist at a local hospital. Anthony was well liked by all and loved by many. He was taken too soon from us and will be forever missed but never forgotten. If you knew Anthony, you know that he always had a comeback for you. He loved to cook (especially with his daughters) and his music collection was quite eclectic as well as his passion for movies. Anthony leaves to cherish his memories two precious daughters, Charlotte Elizabeth Batten, 13, and Chloe DeLisle Batten, 11, both of Lakewood, WA. He is also survived by his mother, Unita Deneen Johnson of Hampton, VA; father, Tony E. Batten (Annie) of Sturgeon Bay, WI; sister Latisa Robertson (Walter), three nephews, Dominic, Kamari and Jhamir Robertson, all of Sturgeon Bay, WI; two adopted brothers, Ethan Almstadt and C’Rome Batten; one foster sister, Jaelyanah Denton; two foster brothers LaRon Garcia and Vaughntille Walker, all of Sturgeon Bay, WI; and many family members and friends. A Memorial Service will be held 11am Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Macedonia A.M.E. Church Carrollton, Va. Please keep the Batten family in your thoughts and prayers.
